After studying journalism, Martin working as a news and showbiz journalist for a Sunday tabloid where he covered some of the biggest news stories of our time during a career spanning fifteen years.
A five year hiatus to study Veterinary Science at the University of Liverpool followed but, missing the media world, he returned to Manchester and the world of PR. His contact book is extensive and he has close relationships with some of the media industry’s most influential individuals.

As co-owner, Martin works closely with Dave on business development whilst also heading up the company’s crisis communications work and leading the talent management division.

Outside of work Martin is an avid Sunderland AFC supporter and enjoys socialising with friends and travelling.

Dave started his career in the media covering Premier League football games for national newspapers and agencies before joining a Sunday tabloid full time for the next nine years.

During this time he travelled across the world covering the biggest news stories and events. Dave’s former colleagues are now scattered throughout the media industry working at Editor-level positions in print and broadcast media giving him direct access to some of the media’s most influential people.
As co-owner, Dave oversees the day to day running of the business and heads up the company’s business development strategy.

Matt is the Director of our newly-established social media arm – mrSocial. He has worked in the entertainment and media industry for 20 years where his name has become synonymous with organising many of the UK’s biggest events.

He also regularly attends courses to ensure he is up to speed with industry changes in order to maximise opportunities for our social media clients.

After graduating from the University of Bradford, Johnny completed his NCTJ journalism training in Cornwall. He then worked for a number of local and regional newspapers, on both news and sport, before becoming Assistant Sports Editor on a national tabloid.

His varied career has seen him cover Premier League football matches, interview a Prime Minister and top sports stars, as well as carrying court reporting and breaking news duties.

He has also spent more than a decade as a senior sub editor on national papers, giving him excellent headline-writing and proof reading skills.

After almost 20 years in journalism he made the switch to PR, where his extensive contacts and knowledge of the news business gives him the ability to gain fantastic coverage for clients.

Away from work, Johnny loves playing and watching football (Liverpool FC and Rochdale AFC) and cricket, as well as taking part in adventure races and socialising.

Sean-Paul’s career in journalism kicked off at a local newspaper in Kent, where he worked his way up to Content Editor and picked up a few awards in the process.

After a spell working across a number Fleet Street titles, he joined a national tabloid as a News Reporter and spent three years helping to drive the national news agenda.

A move to the desert followed, as he became Digital Editor of a leading lifestyle magazine in Abu Dhabi before entering the PR world with the Content Manager role at one of the world’s most famous hotels in Dubai.

Today, he enjoys helping brands seek out interesting and innovative ways to enhance their business’s profile through a range of mediums.

Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new recipes in the kitchen, kicking a football around a 5-a-side pitch and following the topsy turvy fortunes of Sunderland AFC.

Four-year-old Steve heads up security at our Worsley offices whilst also studying part-time for his BA in Barking, Biting and Bone-Burying at the nearby Wags Academy. He is often the first person to greet visitors to our offices and is great at making people feel welcome. He dislikes cats.

At just two years old, Hugo is our youngest team member and is the first to join our newly-established apprenticeship scheme under the guidance of Steve. Hugo takes over security and meet-and-greet duties in Steve’s absence – his flamboyant personality is always a hit with visitors.

Hugo is progressing well and is hoping to become SIA accredited in 2020.

Becky began her career in journalism as an intern at a national celebrity gossip magazine in London – where she worked over summer, Easter and Christmas during her third year studying for a degree in Multimedia Journalism at Salford University.

After graduating, Becky began working full time as a junior writer at the magazine, where she became fully immersed in meeting and interviewing a range of celebrities and attending showbiz events.

From there she went on to work at some of the national newspapers for their online showbiz desks, until opting for a switch into PR by joining Marco/Richards in September 2019.

When she’s not at work, you’ll find Becky socialising with friends with a glass of wine or cocktail in hand, or taking a nap.
